ASHRAE Qatar Oryx Chapter Signs MOU with SWAR – Qatar
The AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEATING, REFRIGERATION and AIR-CONDITIONING ENGINEERS (ASHRAE), Qatar Oryx Chapter, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the SWAR Doctor on Wednesday 10 July 2024 at DSG offices in Doha, Qatar.
Having the same vision for the continuous professional and personal development of all its members, both the Organization pledged to collaborate on programs or activities, including other necessary support that may be requested by both parties in fulfilling their common advocacy of helping and providing services for their members’ career and personal development. ASHRAE Qatar and SWAR Qatar jointly agreed in principle to support each other for their respective technical Seminars and workshops.
ASHRAE Qatar Oryx Chapter was represented by Hassan Sultan (Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Chapter), Fadi AbouJamra (President of the Chapter) Mohammed Mokdad (The President Elect of the Chapter), Kinan Fahs ( Immediate Past President of the Chapter) and Seenu Pillai (Vice President and the Chair of the Technology Transfer Committee for the Chapter).
The SWR – Qatar Chapter were represented by Jamil Qassim (Founder), Mohd Talas (Member) and Anto Thilak (Founder)

ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration, and sustainability within the industry. Through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education. The Qatar Oryx Chapter of the ASHRAE was formed in 2008 and holds regular technical workshops and seminars apart from technical conferences in Doha.
